My Unscripted Strength

There are so many ways as humans we can feel motivated, inspired and also uninspired based on what we see around us and the environment of people and happenings around us. We find ourselves aspiring for something good in life most times when we see how well a certain person or people are doing in that regards and we just feel it deep down that we either want to be like them or an exert opposite of them. I believe inspiration comes in two ways, the one that has a positive impact on you and the one that has a negative or opposite impact on you.

For me, my source of inspiration has both impacts on me. And that is my mum. My mum is my biggest motivation for so many reasons. I grew up in a broken home because my mum had to leave and she definitely had her reasons for doing so. Well, after some years of not being in touch with us, she finally came around and since then, I have had the opportunity to ask some questions and know how she has lived her life for all the years she left. Even as much as I saw reasons with some of the reasons she gave for leaving, I knew deep down that I don’t want to be like her in that aspect. It always scares me when I see a trait of that in myself!

Besides that, my mum is one of the most resilient people I have ever known. And the next most resilient person will be my sister. My mum will always work hard to get things done no matter how inconvenient and hard it may be. I like that about her because it makes her see things in a positive light almost all the time and that reduces the pressure on us her children. And that inspires me to want to be resilient too and always see the positive side of things rather than always being negative about things.

My mum is someone that also doesn’t joke with anything that has to do with God and I like that about her. She is selfless and really hospitable and I think I lack in these two things and that’s why I take inspiration from her to want to do better. She is willing to help even when she might probably be the one who needs that help more. And that’s because she believes that God will always provide for her and even if he doesn’t, it won’t kill her or stop her from doing well. This alone inspires me to want to be genuinely good and selfless as well.

I draw inspiration from my mum to always give things a try even when it doesn’t make sense to do so. My mum might have heard a lot of negative things about something but she can draw an inspiration from just one positive comment and that has helped her win in some areas of her life that even I am amazed at. I find that really interesting about her and it just inspires me to try. Just try no matter what. It’s cowardly to just give up on something with even trying to make it work to begin with.

Like I said, besides my mum, I draw inspiration from my sister and from other people too. Depending on the situation I find myself, there is always something I get inspiration from to be better and of course, I draw inspiration from myself. And if I think about it well, I’m also my biggest motivation but it is thanks to the different people (my mum) that have inspired me over the years.

That's a good one trying to assist others in in her own difficult time, not everyone can do that and again being positive even when other people have given up she is a strong spirited person
