My favourite food

Food is something I look forward to. I love food, and I'm sure everyone does too. Also, most people have their favourite food. That food they'll never get tired of eating.

There's always that particular food that gives us joy and makes our stomach rejoice. Food is one of the things to appreciate about life. I believe that for many people, a bad day can be turned to a good one with a well prepared meal, especially when it's their favourite food.

Like everyone else, I have a favourite food. My favourite food is Jollof rice. It's a very popular food. It is made when rice is cooked with spicy tomato sauce.

I remember how my mother would prepare it almost every morning. The aroma was always amazing. You could smell it from miles away. As a kid, I would light up whenever I ate her jollof rice. I still do as an adult. In my opinion, she makes the best jollof rice.

My love for jollof rice knows no bounds. The good thing about it is that it can be eaten with a wide variety of things. It could can be taken with vegetables, eggs, fish, meat and even fruits like bananas. Jollof rice is quite easy to prepare and that's one reason it's so rampant. Within a few minutes, one can prepare it.

To me, jollof rice is best when it's spicy. I love it spicy. I think the spicy nature of it is another reason why it's a popular food. Jollof rice just has a superb taste when it's properly cooked.

It's a meal for events. In most events, where I come from, whether it's weddings, birthday celebrations or any other kind of event, jollof rice is usually the food of choice. You can barely find an event in these parts where jollof rice isn't served as refreshment. This just tells you how cherished the food is.

Jollof rice isn't just physically appealing, the ingredients are simple and easy to get. I'll always recommend it for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. It's the food for all occasions.

I have no doubt that so many people also have jollof rice as their favourite food. It's difficult to not love it.
