Designing My Dream Weekend

Imagine you had the power to shape your weekend exactly the way you want. Whatever you wished for would happen, just the way you pictured it. There might be downsides to having a power like this, although I can’t think of any for now, however, one thing I’m certain of is that it will definitely be a weekend well spent. The topic for this week’s India United Prompt is My Perfect Weekend. If you had the power to plan your weekend from Friday to Saturday, how would I go? I’m certain that many people would want to do interesting and amazing things to make that weekend memorable.

If I had this power, the first thing I would like to do is go for an outing with my friends. I am not the kind of person who enjoys going out. In fact, I prefer to lock myself indoors, sleep or do something else than to go out with friends. But sometimes, going out with friends has its own benefits. For example, it helps to kick you out of a sore mood. If I could plan my Friday my way, I would go out with my friends to a swimming pool. It would have been much better to go to a book store to feast my eyes on books and buy a few, but since most of my friends do not like reading books, then the swimming pool would be better. There, we can have fun and gist like the good old days.

Since I have the power to tailor the weekend to my own taste, Saturday would be for Owanbe. Owanbe simply means "party." The last time I attended a transitional wedding party was years ago, when I was much younger. Interestingly, whenever a person close to home gets married, I am often not around. For example, when my relatives got married, I was in school, writing my exams. It would be nice to be able to attend an Owanbe party, eat the smoky Jollof rice, and have fun.
