Finding My Feet on Hive Slowly

Just like yesterday, I got a notification from Hivebuzz that my account is now 8 years on Hive. I could remember when I opened my account then with not many expectations, even though the person who introduced me told me that I could write and earn and even get to know people who are ready to make connections with genuine purpose. At first, I didn't put in full concentration because, to me, the idea of all the keys, community, and even the interface looks a bit blurry to me.

Even though the rewards were involved, I still took my time to check how the platform works. I went through different people's posts that I found interesting and that I can learn from. I left some comments if I could, and I also made sure that I asked questions. Even now, I still ask questions if I see something I do not understand, and I met those who put me through without discrimination.

And I also want to tell those who are just joining or might have been here recently that you all should be consistent in what you are doing and stop trying to form Mr. Perfect. Do not rush yourself at all in writing. Write when you have the strength, even if it's little by little, because Rome wasn't built in a day. Connect with people here, do not go about looking for trouble, obey and follow all instructions because over here, effort, transparency, and originality is more. Also, power up if you can.

Earning might not be as fast coming as expected or what you see on some people's posts, and that is why you need to continue to exercise patience. Some days will be rosy, while some days might feel so dry, and to me, that is what growth entails. It is the little, little things that matter here.

Just like a village where respect is being shown, that is how Hive is. If you respect others, it will be reciprocated, if you greet others, it's going to be returned. Though I just recently got back on the platform, my journey is still ahead, and that is why I am doing everything possible to continue showing up, trying to learn more, and improving on my connection.

And for those of you that are also from the place that I came from where electricity isn't that good, you can simply write on your phone note, then post when convenient. Keep all your keys safe like you are protecting your phone password. Like I said earlier, be transparent, be yourself, connect with people, and stay active too.
Over time, the results will keep showing with patience, effort, and how ready you are.
