Finding Small Money on a Big Internet

These days, there are a lot of ways to now earn money online, unlike how it used to be in the past, where people had to depend on the 9-5 type of work with a lot of workload. But now, things have been a little bit easier with the use of technology, which is why my favorite way to make money online is mostly through freelance writing. I have been on this for years now, and though it is a bit stressful, it's real.

Though I began writing as far back as 2016 when I created a free blog for myself on Blogspot, there was no pay, but I kept doing it before I was later introduced to the one that came before Hive. And later on, I got introduced to another one known as Opera News, and the passion kept on increasing, and I was getting some little encouragement.

At that moment, I was not in a rush because I was new to it, and I kept learning as well as I kept on reading other people's work to learn one or two things from them to improve myself. Had I not been patient enough, and I was after the money like some people were that time, I might have gotten disappointed, and my writing skills would still be in the gutter.

After I started writing for the first paying platform I joined , it took me just seven days to earn my first payment. As a young boy, it was like magic to start making money on my own, even though it was a small amount and the dollar rate was very low then, it was something. After that, I started buying my data myself without having to ask my parents, and that was how the freedom started settling in little by little.

Through writing for various platforms, I have learned self discipline, and how to work on time with goals even though I have no boss but work ahead of me. Some days I feel too tired to even write, which I usually tell one of my friends here on Hive, but I still keep showing up every day. Because effort and consistency are what matter over here.

And what has really helped me over time is that I set goals, and I get motivated by some people. I share what I know, I am always ready to learn, and I connect with people who have more understanding than me, not minding the age difference because working online is not about my age, magic, but how well i can work and understand what I am doing.

I have seen some people who started the online work thinking that it was fast money, but they ran away at the end of the day because they lacked patience. But what they do not know is that they need to believe in themselves first, keep showing up, learn from people around them, and be expectant. This was how I developed myself, and it has been sustaining me even though I combined it with offline work too.

Be it online earning or offline earning, one needs to be patient and understand that not everything is a 'get-rich-quick' scheme. If they should keep running away because there is a delay or they can't be patient enough, they'll keep missing out on opportunities. Patience is vital
