Our environment should not just be a place where we live but a place where we find peace and what’s one of the best ways of finding peace? It is by making everywhere look neat, welcoming and comfortable. With the few things I’ve seen, these days, I have noticed that a lot of people have failed in the aspect of taking care of their environment and causing damages to our natural resources.
Sadly, not only the natural resources eventually get affected but the people as well.
When I’m talking about the natural resources that get affected and destroyed, I mean “air”. A lot of people throw dirts on the floor and smelly ones at that. This affects the environment by polluting it. Air is a natural resource but when it gets polluted, we get affected because we will perceive bad smell which has a way of affecting our lungs.
Also, water also gets infected when we pour dirts in it. Some people feel the best way to throw waste is by pouring it into the river. That’s crazy and a lot of people do that. That’s also one of the ways in which people are damaging the natural resources we have.
These natural resources have a way of helping us but when we ruin them, we don’t get to enjoy the benefit if nature.
This actually has a solution but do the people know that the destructions of these natural resources affects us?
That’s the first thing we need to know and if we want to find solution to the problems, we have to do these step by step.
Awareness
The first step to getting rid of the destruction of our natural resources is by making people aware. When we visit places like Kibera in Kenya, everywhere looks so dirty and smelly. I’m sure those people don’t know that inhaling those bad smell isn’t good for us or maybe throwing dirts in the water isn’t good because if they know, they wouldn’t do those things.
A lot of people are naive about the things they do but if they are enlightened and aware, it means that we are one step forward.
Taking action
I know this has to do with the people but when they are aware about the wrong and right thing, they take actions. When I mean taking actions, it means knowing where to put our dirts, cleaning the environment, not throwing dirts in the river and so much more.
Making it mandatory
I know a lot of people may not be used to doing all of those yet due to the fast process so the best thing making it mandatory so that people will get used to it.
I think this will work and may be a greater way to solve the issues of natural resources destruction.
