My Choice of Securing My Future

Financial decisions are the most delicate and most complicated decisions to take at times because you never know when your so called best decision can turn around to be the worst decision you've ever made.

Some times, we make some decisions carelessly thinking it's meant for a better future we are trying to build only to realize that we could have done better and this has been some of my experiences in the past years most especially last year.

However, in today's blog, I am meant to write about one of my best decisions in terms of financial aspect of my life.
I've been with the mindset of really having multiple streams of income because in this world where we are now, one can hardly survive to live through and have square meal daily let alone living the life one actually dreamed of.

So my major decision was investment. I tried so hard to ensure that whatever I am putting my money on is about investment and not on liabilities.
One of which is acquiring land, holding on it for a while before selling it off at a higher price. As we all know that no matter what, land appreciates and never depreciate so no matter how bad the economy may be, you still get to make more money from it than the rate you bought it. Though this did not really last for long because my major income went south but it was a good decision of an investment.

Another investment decision I made was buying of stocks, both Nigerian and US stocks and it's actually not easy knowing what portfolio to build in terms of not getting it wrong and losing your money at the end of the day due to bad choice of company stocks but so far, I knew I made the right decision and even though it was not a huge investment back then, still, it's far better than not taking the step back then.

That isn't my busstop on investment but may be my stopover for now based on my income level at the moment but I am definitely building more of these investments as time goes on.
