One thing I have come to realize is that you need to understudy and understand the situations around you first. Understanding truly matters a lot in all we do. So if you can channel that energy successfully towards other things then you have solved 50% of your problems.

I remember when I was first introduced to the blockchain, at first I just couldn't understand a thing. And back then it wasn’t as easy as it is now that we have a lot of frontend DApps that can explain much of how to navigate and leave choices for you to make.

It’s either you get to understand the type of platform or you let it go. When I was introduced, I couldn't understand a thing. I was grateful for being onboarded. How will I get better?

I started trying out several options, check out different features of the website. Then gradually I got a hold of how it works, but then I must admit it took me time even when it was explained to me.

Understanding was checkmarked, then what’s next?

I started writing and writing, I will post and post, but yet I still got nothing to appreciate my efforts, I got no engagement or sort of on the platform. But are others getting it? How? Why? What are they doing that I am missing out on?

It took me another time to understand the secret behind their success.. I never thought it would have much impact as I felt it was just a choice. Not everyone is ready to embrace it then.

Finally I got to know what the real deal was, and what was that?

ENGAGEMENT

It’s just like living in a community and then you choose to remain all alone. You will get to live your kind of life and get to know others too. But I would say it would have been faster if you already engaged with them as you settled down.

The advantages are that they will come to tell you what has happened or will happen in the community, you get first hand information. So not engaging with them comes with that risk.

I started engaging more instead of just making my posts selfishly. I think I have to mingle with others and then gain some confidence too. In just a matter of time I could feel the progress. I was happy that I just thought about engaging instead of stressing myself beyond an empty profile.

I actually practiced these acts of engagement on some other platforms and it was way easier to navigate through and make it easier and earlier.

So my humble advice for Hive newbies is to try as much to keep to engagement at first, it might appear stressful but I trust it will actually yield a great result for everyone who did
