«Martina, ¿Dónde estás?». Alise entraba al apartamento.
«Alise, estoy desayunando».
«Hola, amiga, siéntate y come algo».
«No te preocupes. Solo quiero un café para recargar energías. Jaja.
«No me importa.
Jaja». Martina se mostraba avergonzada.
«Vamos a trabajar, mejor».
«Amiga, vamos a morir».
«Bien, me estoy recuperando».
«Nada, nada... Jaja».

"Martina, where are you?" Alise was coming into the apartment.
"Alise, I'm having breakfast." A shrill voice could be heard around the apartment.
"Hi, friend, sit down and have something to eat."
"Don't worry. I just want a coffee to recharge. Haha. The day is very cold and it looks like it's going to rain." Alise was feeling chills.
"OK, I'll prepare it for you. Please can you bring me the salt to keep it." Martina was talking from the kitchen.
"It's okay, boss. Haha."
Alise was taking the bottle and in an oversight fell on the table. Martina ran out to see what had happened, and the expression of panic took over the beautiful face of the redhead.
"Friend, no, no, that's a bad omen. Hurry up take some salt and throw it over your left shoulder. You have no time to waste." Martina passed a pinch of salt.
"As you think, those are just superstitions. We're going to work, it's getting late." Alise was picking up the salt and throwing it in the trash.
"Friend, for God's sake, do as I tell you." Martina was placing her hands in supplication.
"You're overacting. You're very superstitious. Let's go to work."
After a few minutes, the girls were leaving the building, and the rain was starting to get heavier. Alise walked over to the umbrella stand and took one. She opened it and got ready to leave. Martina opened her eyes to the maximum of her sockets.
"Close the umbrella, don't open it inside, it's bad luck." Martina took the umbrella and closed it busily.
"Dude, seriously, you're freaking me out with those exaggerations. Calm down, for God's sake." Alise took the umbrella and was about to leave the building.
As they were walking, they saw some stairs placed on the eaves of a building. Martina was going to go around the stairs and Alise was bleaching her eyes.
"Friend, it's raining. You'll get wet."
"I don't care. I'm not going to go under that ladder, it's bad luck." Martina was running around the stairs.
"My friend, you need a boyfriend, urgently. Haha."
"I don't want bad luck, I have enough in my life."
After a few minutes, the women arrived at the office and the rain suddenly stopped.
"We arrived safe and sound. Nothing happened to us and besides the sun came out. You are very superstitious, friend."
"Well, I think I exaggerated a little. Haha." Martina was embarrassed.
"Let's go to work, better." Alise was closing the umbrella, and they were going up to the office.
The two women took the elevator. Alise pressed the button for the tenth floor. The elevator was starting to move, while a soft melody was playing. All of a sudden, the elevator stopped at the eighth floor. The women looked at each other in surprise and in a second, the elevator started to fall.
Martina and Alise were screaming non-stop.
"My friend, we are going to die." Martina was hugging her friend.
Alise was praying, while some tears were coming out of her brown eyes. After a long suffering, the elevator suddenly stopped. The women opened their eyes and sighed deeply. Then the elevator doors opened abruptly and men were pulling the terrified women out.
"Oh my God, I thought we wouldn't get out of it." Alise was shaking non-stop.
"It would be better to take the stairs." When Alise was going to go up, a slipper broke and she fell, fracturing her ankle.
The pain was terrible at that moment, Martina called an ambulance. A big chaos ensued at that moment, Alise and Martina were getting into the ambulance, when it started at full speed the vehicle crashed with a taxi. The women were screaming, and the paramedics were trying to calm them down.
The paramedics were taking the women out of the ambulance and at that moment a big storm broke out. The paramedics were carrying Alise to safety, while Martina ran after them. After all that odyssey, the women, and the paramedics arrived at the hospital.
A few days later, Alise arrived at Martina's apartment with crutches to help her walk.
"Hello, Friend, how are you?" Martina was helping to arrange Alise in the dining room chair.
"Okay, I'm getting better." Alise was letting out a melancholy sigh. "But I am very discouraged. My boyfriend left me for someone else."
"I'm sorry, friend." Martina was hugging her friend.
"It's as if bad luck were chasing me." Alise was looking at her friend. "And please don't say, 'I told you so.'" Alise was letting out a sigh.
Martina placed her fingers in her mouth moving them from side to side. The women got ready to have breakfast.
"Well you have to admit that everything that happened that day was not a normal thing, so..." Martina got up and was heading to the kitchen.
"These are things that happen. One thing has nothing to do with the other." Alise was gathering up the salt, and it spilled onto the table.
The frightened woman hurried to pick up the salt and throw a pinch over her left shoulder. Martina was coming out with the coffees.
"What happened?" Martina was looking at her friend nervously.
"Nothing, nothing... Haha."
