Your post reminds me of my childhood in 2001, when martial law was in effect in my area. I was traumatized by the cannon fire.
My dear Bro, we were traumatized for over four years, from 1990 to 1995. We lived under general danger, shells and bombings of the city. We would take the children to the basements when a general danger was declared, sometimes three times a day. Sometimes in the middle of the night. My children were 5 years old and one and a half years old. During the most intense shelling, we spent days and nights in the basements. We, women with children and parents. We didn't know for a month what happened to our husbands who were defending ours. God forbid anyone, anyone.
