My Actifit Report Card: June 24 2024
Bees are great builders, they usually build with wax. Interestingly, this wax is made from similar ingredients to honey, but it is processed differently and there are different proportions of the various ingredients that make up honey. Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to see a beekeeper cutting out various structures from the hive that are not welcome in the hive because they interfere with the inspection of the hive. In the last photo you can see a wax frame in which you can see the capped brood (young bees) that will emerge from these cells, you can also see their earlier stage, i.e. larvae :)
Pszczoły są świetnymi budowniczymi, najczęściej budują z wosku. Co ciekawe, ten wosk powstaje z podobnych składników co miód, tylko jest inaczej przetwarzany i są inne proporcje różnych składników składających się na miód. Miałem okazję widzieć w weekend jak pszczelarz wycina z ula takie różne budowle, które nie są mile widziane w ulu bo przeszkadzają przy przeglądzie ula. Na ostatnim zdjęciu widać ramkę z wosku w której widać zaślepiony czerw (młode pszczoły) które się wygryzą z tych komórek, widać również ich wcześniejsze stadium czyli larwy 🙂
