I'm glad you're safe from it! I live near a volcano as well and it's considered active. It hasn't blown for over 200 years, but does release steam. It used to go off like clockwork every 200 years, but the last eruption was in 1793, which means its 31 years overdue! If it ever does go, it will be a disaster.

Ohhh, overdue sounds concerning. Hope that if it does goes off, it won't cause too much damage.
