London was HELL, especially in the morning when everybody was going to work and kids to school, and in the afternoon the same, I was driving only when I had to the company car, I had my own car for less than 6 months then I sold it, traveling by train/underground was much much faster and almost hassle-free.

How far are you from Seatle? I have a friend who lived in that area for a short while, he said it was almost always rainy or raining.
