I've driven over Hoover damn a few times before they installed the new bridge that takes you the area. It really is desolate desert and doesn't get much harsher. Of course at that point you are well into Nevada!
I have been to Spain and love it, a wonderful country. You should go if you ever get the chance.
Great Arizona tunes, but you missed an easy one. "Arizona Sky" by China Crisis was huge in the 80's, still a great song. Check it out. There is a lot to see in Arizona, and the desert really can be beautiful. If you get a chance take the trip!

I've never heard of China Crisis before. Oddly enough, when we were in that area, we didn't actually go over the bypass bridge I don't think. Either that or we did and I didn't really realize what it was at the time.
