I think John Denver was an amazing songwriter and performer. Annie's Song isn't one of my favorites by him, but it's not bad. It was a shame that he died in that plane crash.. Two good songs there!
Joe Walsh is a lot more rock than country.. lol. That's a great song you picked out for the end for the non John Denver fans!

Funny thing is though, the Eagles would be considered by some to be a bit of a country band. Back in the 70's there was so much crossover, it's hard to draw a definite line. It is sad that Denver had to die so young.
The Eagles weren't a typical rock band, and had that crossover feel, you are right on that one! The 70's were an interesting time musically. CCR were kind of the same.
