RE: Searching for Serenity: Part 2

I’m quite sure camping on a holiday weekend is no picnic. No pun intended.
The existing gazebo at my girlfriend’s house was rotting out. So last year I built (put together) one that she bought. It wasn’t much fun at all. Especially since it was a 16’x20’ gazebo all metal not wood. I had an issue with the two shorter sides. The roof panel holes weren’t lining up. The top edge of the panel wasn’t going up all the way under the flashing kit. I had to snip about a half inch off it to get it in. No issue with it still over an inch under the flashing. And yes those panels get super hot in the sun. I had to wear gloves.
Looks nice, enjoy.

If I had been thinking I would have had them cover the deck when they built it, but it was already pretty expensive. At the very least I could have made them leave the posts long so I could add rafters and a roof later. We had one panel that didn't line up so I just drilled a new hole and filled the old one in with some silicone.
