My BBQ is under a gazebo roof, to avoid inclement weather.
I've even used a Biolight Basecamp wood burning BBQ that worked great with seasoned hickory wood. Done a few steaks and has a USB output to operate a lamp or charge my smartphone.

That sounds pretty awesome! We moved these under a canopy once I had to open them up to turn the meat. I still got soaking wet though!
