Yeah I figure that if things fell apart getting to the lakes could open the door to go WAY up North even into Canada if both governments completely collapsed.

Yeah, the only problem is a lot of other people would probably be thinking the same thing. I have a feeling a lot of my friends "friends" would be thinking they could retreat to there. He's a bit of a homesteader, so I know he would help us survive!
