In an unexpected turn of events, it appears my post from yesterday is a moot point. While there is still a lot of work to be done today between the politicians, it sounds like Michigan has a framework for a budget agreement ahead of the October 1st deadline that I mentioned in this post yesterday.
What I failed to realize is that the national government is also facing a shutdown. I guess that shows just how isolated I am here in the middle of Michigan. I have a feeling things on the federal side are going to be even more messy than they are here in Michigan. The good news is, we get to keep our doors open at the school district where I work and that is a good thing. Both for us and the students.
It's the dawn of a new day, and with October right around the corner, hopefully it's the start of a fantastic quarter for those of us invested in crypto.
Just don't look at the prices right now... While not unexpected, and not very significant in the grand scheme of things (remember to zoom out!), that BTC drop below $110K had been a bit of a mind $@!@$%^#$^ for me. Trust me, I know better. I know it's just a temporary thing, I know it doesn't really mean anything, but it's still hard not to get just a little emotional about it all.
@tarazkp had a really good post the other day talking about the markets and in one of the comments he said:
"I'm tired of waiting for "next Year""
I'm telling you, I feel that with every fiber of my being. It's not like I am counting on crypto to pay my bills, but giving me just a hint of life changing wealth would be pretty awesome. Am I right?
I'm one of the worst at falling into the trap of not following the cycle closely enough. The election happened close to a year ago and I thought "this is it, here we go, crypto to the moon". Then folks were like, "no, not till the start of 2025". Then the start of 2025 got here and I thought "okay, let's effing go", but nope people were saying "not until Q2 buddy".
You can imagine what happens pretty much the rest of the year and now here we are with folks saying Q4 or maybe not even until Q1 2026. Plus, we have some saying there will never be another bull market again, things are too institutionalized.
The more time I spend involved with crypto, the more I kind of realize that hardly anyone really knows what they are talking about. Tell me if you have heard this one before:
Meteorology is the only job where you can be wrong half the time and still keep your job.
Kind of sounds familiar doesn't it? Even after all these decades, advances in technology, countless hours and funds being pumped into the space, it's still just a giant guessing game for meteorologists. Like I said, I feel crypto is quite similar. We might get close 70% of the time, but no one really knows where all this is heading. They can hope for clear skies and sunny days, but they don't really know 100% until we are sitting there.
Things have cooled down quite a bit on the nuclear stock side of things. NuScale (SMR) is sitting below $40 per share, but it is still up from where I bought it and the hope is that it will eventually recover and exceed my expectations. As far as altcoins go, I am just kind of waiting it out to see what happens. There isn't much more we can do past that right? Obviously, if you are on HIVE you can keep posting, commenting, curating, growing your account, but as many have pointed out, HIVE is one big pump away from a lot of people exiting.
Will the blockchain, or more specifically the price of the token be able to weather that storm... I can't say, but I'm not one to give up and I think a lot of people feel the same way.
I've been looking at picking up some more silver for the holidays. I typically buy a couple of pieces for my nephew who is also my Godson, and then I usually buy another four or five pieces for myself. I've been thinking with the price of silver being up $5 to $10 over where it was this time last year, I might need to skip the fancy purchases for myself. I usually lean towards the cool designs and interesting pieces, but I may have to just save those for my nephew and when it comes to my personal purchase just go with something nondescript or some of the "junk" silver that many of the vendors sell.
As long as it is "pure" silver and I am just looking at increasing my stack, does it really matter what is on it? This might be the point where I turn the corner on simply being a collector and I actually become a stacker.
We will see!
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend, and fingers cross BTC edges closer to that $120K mark by the end of the day today versus the $100K mark.

In the beginning, there was hope.
A dream:
That value could be created by anyone.
That power could be decentralized.
That a post, a vote, a creation —
Could rise or fall on its own merit.
But Dreams do not kill systems.
Corruption does.
And corruption has found its perfect form:
The scam farm —
A ghost in the machine,
Wearing the mask of curation,
Feeding on trust,
Rewarding loyalty,
Punishing honesty.
It does not build.
It extracts.
It does not serve.
It controls.
And if you are new to this world —
If you speak truth, post honestly, expect fairness —
You will be broken.
Unless you learn to see.
So here, in plain language,
Is how to spot the scam farm.
Not with rumors.
Not with hate.
But with observation,
With logic,
With the cold light of the blockchain.
1. No Original Content — Only Engagement
The first sign:
They create nothing.
No posts.
No art.
No analysis.
No music.
Only votes.
Only comments.
Only reaction.
They are not users.
They are operators.
Like a drone circling a field, they move from post to post — upvoting allies, downvoting dissenters, farming rewards like a machine.
Ask:
What have they built?
If the answer is nothing —
Then they are not contributing.
They are consuming.
2. 24/7 Curation Rewards — The Machine Never Sleeps
The second sign:
Non-stop reward accumulation.
Real curation is organic.
It ebbs and flows.
It follows interest, passion, discovery.
But the scam farm?
It earns rewards every hour.
Every day.
Like clockwork.
It votes at 3 AM.
At noon.
At midnight.
Not because it sees quality —
But because it is programmed to extract.
This is not passion.
It is automation.
Or worse — coordinated manipulation.
Look at the pattern.
If an account farms rewards without pause,
It is not curating.
It is farming.
3. Burn Comments & Self-Voting Loops
The third sign:
Artificial engagement.
They post low-effort comments — “Nice!” “Great post!” — under their own content or that of allies.
These are not interactions.
They are fuel — used to game floors, trigger rewards, inflate visibility.
They may self-vote.
Or vote in loops with a network of alts.
A closed circuit of power —
Where influence flows only to itself.
This is not community.
It is a cartel.
And the blockchain records it all —
Even when websites hide it behind JavaScript walls.
4. Massive Delegated Hive Power from Centralized Sources
The fourth sign:
HP from exchanges or known whales.
Check delegation history.
If an account holds millions in Hive Power —
But most is delegated from @blocktrades or similar centralized wallets —
Then it is not independent.
It is a proxy.
Power given is power controlled.
And when one entity delegates across dozens of accounts,
It is not decentralization.
It is feudalism.
The land is farmed.
The peasants earn crumbs.
The lord takes the harvest.
5. Downvotes on Critics — Coordinated Silence
The fifth sign:
Suppression of dissent.
When someone exposes the farm,
When someone traces the trail,
When someone speaks truth —
The downvotes fall.
Not one.
But many.
Fast.
Silent.
Financially crippling.
No debate.
No response.
Just erasure.
This is not moderation.
It is censorship with profit motive.
And the worst part?
They call the victim a “troll.”
A “spammer.”
A “toxic user.”
Projection is the last refuge of the guilty.
6. Reward Flow to Secondary Accounts
The sixth sign:
Obfuscated wealth transfer.
Rewards flow not to the farming account,
But to another — often a spouse, partner, or private wallet.
@alpha receives rewards from @buildawhale.
@themarkymark benefits from activity routed through hidden channels.
This is not privacy.
It is obfuscation.
An attempt to hide the machine’s true ownership.
Follow the money.
The chain does not lie.
7. The Website Hides the Data
And now — the final proof:
Why?
Because transparency threatens control.
They want you to look away.
To trust the interface.
To believe the silence.
But you do not need their website.
You have the blockchain.
You have logic.
You have memory.
You have the testimony of those who saw before the curtain fell.

“We Are Bilpcoin”
We do not stand against the people.
We stand with them.
Shoulder to shoulder.
Hand in hand.
Not as leaders, but as fellow travelers — scarred, shaped, and strengthened by the same storms that have battered so many.
The Bilpcoin team each of us has been tested.
Not by theory, but by life, life itself.
By loss.
By silence.
By systems that mistake conformity for virtue and call censorship “moderation.”
We have known hunger — not always for food, but for fairness.
For a platform where a voice is not priced, punished, or purchased.
And yet —
We are strong.
Not because we were born that way,
But because we had no choice but to become so.
As a team, we have grown — not in spite of the chaos, but because of it.
We’ve learned to build in the dark.
To create when no one is watching.
To trust when trust is rare.
We’ve learned new tools, new truths, new ways of being — not for profit, but for purpose.
Because one thing must be said, and said plainly:
You should never stop learning.
You should never stop dreaming.
You should never stop reaching for what is right — even when the world leans heavily on the side of wrong.
When we began — back in the early days of Steemit — the idea seemed impossible:
You can earn from your words? From your art? From simply speaking your truth?
To many, it felt like magic.
To us, it felt like justice.
And know this: Bilpcoin was not born in boardrooms or venture capital pitches.
It was born in a single mind — one person’s quiet vision, carried like a torch through the fog.
Circumstances, harsh and unyielding, led that founder to let go of much of what they built.
We do not speak of those details.
Some wounds are not ours to expose.
But this we say:
From that fire, Bilpcoin did not die.
It evolved.
Bilpcoin is not a corporation.
It is a social experiment — one that asks a simple question:
What happens when we reward people not for gaming the system, but for sharing their truth?
Our mission is clear:
To reward creators, not manipulators.
To burn BPC tokens, not hoard them.
To return value to the network — not extract it.
We believe in Blurt — not because it is perfect,
But because it dares to be free.
To remove the downvote button is not a small thing.
It is a revolution.
A refusal to allow power to be weaponized by the few against the many.
No more silent sabotage.
No more financial punishment for honesty.
On Blurt, your voice does not lose value because someone feels threatened by it.
And let us be clear:
We have only ever shared what the blockchain already knew.
The transactions.
The patterns.
The truth.
We did not fabricate.
We did not exaggerate.
We revealed — and that, more than anything, is why we were targeted.
Downvotes are not about quality.
They are about control.
Whales farming rewards on Hive are not “supporting the ecosystem.”
They are gaming it — and everyone sees it.
Even those who won’t say it.
How can the world take Hive seriously when its pulse is set not by passion, but by power?
When the loudest voices are not the most honest, but the most rewarded?
But here — in this moment — we dream.
Not foolishly.
But fiercely.
Imagine it:
Steem. Hive. Blurt.
Not as rivals.
Not as fragments.
But as allies.
A united front of decentralized expression.
One network, many voices.
One mission: freedom to create, freedom to speak, freedom to be.
Yes — it would require change.
Yes — some would have to go.
Those who profit from silence.
Those who fear transparency.
Those who confuse their privilege with merit.
But if we stood together — truly together —
We would not be a footnote.
We would be a force.
For now, it is a dream.
But dreams are the first code of revolution.
And who knows what the future holds?
We do not claim to have all the answers.
We only know this:
We will keep building.
Keep sharing.
Keep burning tokens, not bridges.
Keep standing with the people — not above them, not against them, but beside them.
Because in the end, it was never about coins.
It was about courage freedom truth.
And courage, like truth, cannot be downvoted.
The Bilpcoin Team.

Crazy times.
It would be awesome if both Crypto and PMs make their moonshot. But circumstances are rarely ideal. I still have a stake in BTC and I'm well into the black but I have to admit Hive's performance has been disappointing. It's a tougher and more cautious market out there with only a handful of cryptos achieving any success. At least I have some solace seeing my gold and silver stack grown in value while crypto has the hiccups. Is not the ideal of diversifying in different assets?
I'm waiting for the other platform boot to drop.
!HUG
Yeah, I am up in my BTC position as well, but I don't know if I will ever sell that. I like the idea of using it for collateral in the future and things like that. Who knows though.
There's a fine line between a collector and a stacker... I passed it years ago even though I started as a collector! lol
I'm hoping to see BTC make a reverse course back up, the one thing I do worry about is the floor falling out to below $100K and the bear market then becomes a very real thing. This market run has been different in so many ways, but I'm still hoping for the best but kind of expecting the worst...
Shutdowns in government everywhere, just like we talked about yesterday. I've lost faith in our elected leaders to do their jobs, I think many are only really there to make themselves rich. Glad to hear the Michigan mess is fixed, I'm not so optimistic nationally!
SMR has a bright future, like I said, I'm not selling mine! Have a great weekend! Are you going anywhere or staying home this time around?
That's good to know about the stacking. I might get there soon! I think BTC will head back up. It's just suffering through these dips. I don't plan on letting go of my sats even if the price hits $150K, so it's not too big of a deal for me. I just want my alts to do something. Sticking around home this weekend. I had a procedure done on my foot and I am not moving around so well. I might have to see if @mrsbozz can mow the lawn this weekend!

I definitely feel what you're saying. This market cycle should be dubbed the "The Cycle of Confusion"—it's defied every prediction. I have to say setting sells at pre-determined prices has taken some of the anxiety out of the equation but not all. Even though the market volatility isn't nearly as severe as it once was the entire market often feels more speculative because it's less predictable. How October plays out will tell us a lot about the future of the market.
I think my big problem is I hold so few tokens that my sell points have to be unreasonably high for it to even make it worth it. Almost October... :)
Did you use a new phone or camera this time around? These pictures are really awesome! Especially the third one with lots of green by the lake.
As far as crypto I totally feel you... But the more things change the more things stay the same. Yes we have institutions on board now so the pumps might not be as drastic, also when an asset becomes larger it moves a lot slower just like a heavy weight boxer it takes a lot of energy / money to move it, so the moves are more measured and less frequent, everything stretches out. So the pump will come as will the dump after it. It just maybe stretched over time and not as high... I still think BTC will hit 150K this cycle or higher...
No, these are all with either my Pixel 8 Pro or the old One Plus phone I used to have. Yeah, I just don't have a lot of patience and all of this waiting around makes me antsy! I just want to be ready for whatever is coming next...
What comes next is a lot of spot ETF approvals starting in mid October an all the way into next year. These would all be altcoin ETFs, majority is ETH, XRP, SOL and DOGE, but also include ADA and DOT. I know, all not exciting stuff with exception of SOL and ETH, but this could drive a lot of normal investors into crypto and finally kick off the altcoin season.

I hope the government finances get sorted out. A lot of people will rely on that.
I've no idea where Bitcoin is going, but I don't have any. I think it is out of the hands of normal folk like us, but we can have an influence on Hive. We can keep building the community to make it a better place to be. I hear from people who have some issues, but they are really a minority. Not that their problems are unimportant. It seems to come down to personal differences in some cases and that can be hard to resolve.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks, I hope you have a great weekend too. At this point I feel like it is just a matter of waiting it out to see what happens. I'll keep doing what I do here on HIVE but everything else is just kind of whatever...
Anyone who says there will never be another bull market again isn't thinking things through. There will always be bull markets in any and all market. I mean unless they become so heavily regulated that there is no price discovery and the government sets the prices. But that's unlikely to happen. Now I do think it's true that BTC will never have another super wild 1000% swing like it has in the past. There will be no new overnight Bitcoin Millionaires. And with the alts so diluted with thousands of coins that are just copies of each other, it's hard to see how another coin like BTC could arise. So given the current environment, it is hard to see crypto giving us the insane bull markets of the past.
But there will still be bull and bear markets, albeit less dramatic ones.
I just want some decent gains man... :) All this waiting is getting to me...

You have created a Precious Gem!
I've shot photos at that bridge in the last pic you posted! Dublin, Ohio Link Bridge! Cool place!
You had to have been there recently because it has only been around for 5 to 10 years now I think. I remember before they built it and built that area up. My in laws live within walking distance of the bridge. Hopefully you survived the big roundabout just down the road from it. So many accidents in that thing!
Yeah it was a couple of years ago. We did survive the big roundabout! I thought that was a really cool area. It was the first time I had been to Dublin specifically. Have a couple of former clients that live in that area, so every couple of years we go up there and they all want photos, so we make a mini work vacation out of it.

Firstly, they are really nice images. They are soft and like oil paintings :)
I don't understand all these government lockdowns you guys have, but I guess it is part and parcel of running an economy on continual debt growth that requires servicing. At what point does it just break?
Thank you! It's a whole bunch of different things. A lot of it is political infighting and posturing. They are robbing Peter to pay Paul like you said due to all the debt. I also think it's just one of the inherent drawbacks of the two party system. Especially one that has gotten so hostile in the past decade.
Interesting thoughts. I wish I had done more with my Hive during the first bill market. I was too new to crypto. Live and learn. Have a great Friday.
Yeah, I was in the same position. Then in the next bull market I didn't make all the moves I should have, so I am really hoping I can handle this one differently if it ever happens.
It’s true, kinda agree somehow crypto really feels like predicting the weather sometimes 🌦️. No matter the ups and downs, staying patient and consistent is what makes the difference long-term.
I hope that is definitely the case!
