1991: WCW WrestleWar - WarGames Returns

On February 24, 1991, WCW presented WrestleWar at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona. The event featured one of the most brutal WarGames matches in wrestling history.

  • The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious, and Larry Zbyszko) vs. Sting, Brian Pillman, and The Steiner Brothers (WarGames Match)
    In a violent and chaotic battle inside the double cage, Sting’s team fought bravely, but the sheer power of Sid Vicious proved too much. Sid delivered two vicious powerbombs on Brian Pillman, one of which nearly caused serious injury, leading to a stoppage victory for The Four Horsemen.

  • Lex Luger vs. Dan Spivey (WCW World Heavyweight Championship)
    Luger successfully defended his championship against the rugged Spivey in a hard-hitting contest.


2024: WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth

On February 24, 2024, WWE held its Elimination Chamber event at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia. This marked the first time the Elimination Chamber event was hosted in Australia and the third consecutive year it was held outside the United States. The event featured high-stakes matches, with competitors vying for championship opportunities at WrestleMania XL.

    The match began with Becky Lynch and Naomi. As the bout progressed, Tiffany Stratton was the first to be eliminated by Liv Morgan, followed by Raquel Rodriguez, who was taken out by Bianca Belair. In the final moments, Becky Lynch eliminated Liv Morgan after executing the Manhandle Slam, earning herself a Women's World Championship match at WrestleMania XL.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match

  • The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) (c) vs. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate)
    The Judgment Day successfully retained their titles against the formidable duo of Dunne and Bate. The match saw high-energy exchanges, culminating in Bálor delivering the Coup de Grâce to secure the victory.

Men's Elimination Chamber Match

  • Participants: Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul

    This intense match determined the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. Drew McIntyre showcased resilience, eliminating Bobby Lashley with a Claymore Kick and ultimately securing the win by pinning Randy Orton, despite interference from Logan Paul. With this victory, McIntyre earned a title shot against Seth "Freakin" Rollins at WrestleMania.

WWE Women's World Championship Match

  • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax
    In the main event, Australia's own Rhea Ripley defended her title against the formidable Nia Jax. The hard-fought contest concluded with Ripley executing the Riptide on Jax, retaining her championship to the delight of the hometown crowd.
