In an episode of Monday Night Raw on January 28, Maven faced Chris Jericho in a fight. Jericho won, but Maven didn't forget a specific moment of the fight. In a YouTube video, Maven defined the Walls of Jericho as the most painful move he had experienced in his WWE career.
He explained that he had never been in Las Murallas and didn't know how it felt until he saw it applied to other competitors. Maven explained that the best way to describe what he felt with the Walls is to have all his hands at an angle and reach the point where he hasn't moved.
He described how he felt when he saw his hands from an angle, and how Chris blocked and reversed his hand to a specific point. Maven was confident that this was a lesson and that it was the most painful he had ever felt in the ring.
Maven had the opportunity to fight against Chris Jericho three years later, which was less painful than the night of 2002. He revealed that he would lose to Jericho again and again, and the Muros of Jericho.
Maven didn't learn the same as the first time, but after the fight, he realized that the first fight didn't seem to be as painful as the second. He decided to return to the backstage and try to learn from the experience.
