Greetings, community, happy Thursday to everyone.

A couple of days ago I went to the Loblan boots and shoes factory, located in the Puente Hierro area of Caracas, to meet a friend.

And I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the camino, including the one of the very famous Dead Man's corner.

The corner of the dead has a well-known legend and earned its name, because at the time of the federal war, also called the 5 years' war, which was a terrible conflict that devastated Venezuela, the amount of fighting and deaths in Caracas was constant.

That meant that at night, the stretcher bearers spent with their carts picking up the corpses of the fallen soldiers in the conflict to take them to the cemetery for burial. One day, while the stretcher-bearers were performing their duty, they picked up the body of a soldier who for them was lifeless.

But when they were passing by the corner that we commented on in the post with his cart, the soldier's body moved and he told the astonished stretcher bearers: “Don't take me to bury that I'm not dead.”

According to legend, the orderlies got out of the mask and ran away in fright, and from that moment the myth was growing, and the corner began to be called the corner of the dead.

So I took a picture of the corner and the factory to share with you.

I took the pictures with an Infinix Hot 50i phone.

Hace un par de días fui a la fábrica de botas y zapatos Loblan, ubicada en la zona de Puente Hierro en Caracas, para encontrarme con una amiga.

Y aproveché para tomar unas imágenes del camino, entre ellas la de la muy famosa esquina del Muerto.

La esquina del muerto tiene una leyenda muy conocida y se ganó su nombre, ya que en la época de la guerra federal, también llamada la guerra de los 5 años, que fue un conflicto terrible que devastó a Venezuela, la cantidad de combates y de muertes en Caracas era constante.

Eso hacía que en las noches, los camilleros pasaran con sus carretas recogiendo los cadáveres de los soldados caídos en el conflicto para llevarlos a enterrar al cementerio. Un día, mientras los camilleros realizaban su oficio, recogieron el cuerpo de un soldado que para ellos estaba sin vida.

Pero cuando iban pasando por la esquina que comentamos en el post con su carreta, el cuerpo del soldado se movió y les dijo a los camilleros asombrados: “No me lleven a enterrar que no estoy muerto”.

Según la leyenda, los camilleros se bajaron de la careta y se fueron corriendo del susto, y a partir de ese momento fue creciendo el mito, y la esquina empezó a llamarse la esquina del muerto.

Así que tomé una foto de la esquina y de la fábrica para compartirla con ustedes.
