Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog with delight and to share with you how I achieved this popular V- neckline Aso-Oke, one lovely thing about bubu is that irrespective of your stature, it gives you this free, chic and big madam vibes.
Measurement
Gown length -56
Bust - 42
Waist -28
Hip - 48
Back- 9
Sleeve length 16, Note that this is in addition to the back plus the joining allowance at the sleeve.

I cut the bodice first, the bust, waist and hip, I added 3 inches respectively, since it will be on a straight line, no need to shape it.
Then I cut the neck, the back first in a round form, then the front, I have to make use of the Aso-Oke, one piece is enough and you fold into two, making the down part closed and the upper part opened, then placed your ruler on it to slant it out diagonically. I chalked it to have a standard of 15 inches, if you want it longer or shorter, you can add or deduct few inches, then I pin it down, top stitch, I opened it up, cut off the excess, you will notice it's looking like the V already, afterwards I placed the V part on the cloth to cut it out on the neck as shown in the picture, you might want to weave the joining, but mine I didn't weave, I just added 1/2 inch

Then I began to join the body from the shoulder to the arm side, bust and hip straight
