ONE OF A KIND: The celebration of Buwan Ng Wika in San Remigio National High School

Good day, hivers! How do you feel now that August will make its way out? It was a month of surviving and healing for all of us. August wasn't nothing special for me until the celebration of Buwan Ng Wika in our school. Today, I will share to you the awesome roller coaster of emotions during the said celebration, stay tuned!

THE SEARCH FOR BINIBINI AT GINOONG WIKA

In every school events, pageants are always present, it was a common thing. But to know that both of the chosen contestant to represent the STEM strand are my classmates, it was the exciting part.

For the past few weeks of August, we weren't looking forward about anything aside from the upcoming periodical examination, it was like our whole attention was preoccupied with it that we nearly forgot that there was an upcoming event too.

The week of the event, it was full of preparation both for Buwan Ng Wika and the upcoming Intramurals so everyone was very busy. My classmates and I were anticipating the Binibini at Ginoong Wika because the representative of the STEM strand were out classmates so all we did was to prepare how to show our full support for them.

The day of the event, everyone was excited, including me. Who wouldn't if I know that both of our contestants have the potential? During our morning session, we made a banner for them and I had so much fun making it.

In the afternoon, the event finally starts. It wasn't really entertaining at first because it was full of introductions and speeches but when the candidates came out and ready to show their impressive production number, everyone scream their lungs out.

We were very mesmerized by the beauty of our representatives. They just have that presence that screams power and elegance no one else bare at that time. With that, we are very very proud of them!

After the long battle of production number and costume presentation, the top 5 contestants will be announce for both the make and female category. We were so nervous at that time because our representative for the male category was announce last and our female category was announce third. We were so happy that both our representatives were in the top 5 and will have the chance to grab the crown by answering an on the spot questions!

During the question and answer, both of our representatives nailed it we thought they could really win! But of course, we are still nervous because the representative of the SPS category were a strong opponent also. When it was announced that the winner in the male category is our representative, we scream so loud and there comes the announcement in the female category that the winner is also our representative, the place was full of our screams!

It was a picture of me and our representative in the female category, she is so beautiful, isn't she? I didn't have the chance to take a picture with the other winner because it was almost seven in the evening and my mother was already waiting for me (😭).

All in all, it was the best day of this school year so far! Even our screams was part of this wonderful memory and we will cherish it until the next remaining events in this school year. It was fun to have fun during the last year of high school, I would say. So if one of you is also a graduating student like us, don't hesitate to have fun and enjoy the most out of this school year!
