During the first day of January, our family decided to do something simple yet special. We planned a movie date together. It had been a busy start of the year for everyone, so spending time as a complete family felt like the perfect way to relax and reconnect. After a short discussion, we all agreed to watch the MMFF movie entry "Call Me Mother" starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre. Since Nadine Lustre is one of my favorite actresses, I instantly said yes without hesitation.

What made the experience even more exciting was the number of people we were with. We were around 19 in total, including all the kids. It felt more like a mini family reunion than just a movie night. Seeing the children excited, laughing, and running around before entering the cinema added so much joy to the moment. It reminded me how rare it is nowadays to gather everyone in one place, doing the same activity together.

The movie started around 6:00 PM, and one of the highlights was that each ticket came with a free popcorn. It may seem like a small thing, but it added to the overall excitement, especially for the kids. The smell of popcorn filling the cinema, the dim lights, and the sound of laughter created a cozy and happy atmosphere.

As the movie played, I found myself deeply touched by the story. "Call Me Mother" was not just entertaining but it was meaningful. The film carried powerful lessons, especially for mothers. It showed different forms of love, sacrifice, and acceptance that truly resonated with me as a parent. Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre delivered outstanding performances that made the story more heartfelt and relatable.

I could see how the movie also affected the rest of our family. Some scenes made us laugh, while others made us emotional. It was the kind of movie that sparks reflection and conversation after watching. Truly, it was a family-friendly film with values that both adults and children can learn from.

That movie date became more than just watching a film. It turned into a memorable bonding moment. I am grateful for simple days like this, where laughter, lessons, and love are shared. It reminded me that quality time with family is always worth it.
