Saturday on Hive of course means it's time to write about the good old amber nectar or Beer and today's no exception for me.
Here in the Kingdom we have been basking in gorgeous sunshine all week. This post is from a visit to a pub that I had to undertake on Thursday!
We had sun, sun and more sun on Thursday and I popped in for a pint.
Actually this shot I took as I was leaving, you can even see my empty glass on the table.
Of course I was drawn to that tap..
And ordered a pint...
Β£5.95 it's no longer cheap to drink in a typical British pub.
I took my pint outside and was about to sit when I saw this wee puss.
Such a friendly little thing it was, and being as today is #caturday it seems appropriate to post today!
I found it very drinkable, but the wee puss obviously was a on no alcohol day!
I was the only one in the pub and it is part of the Star chain of pubs on whose behalf I was there testing things...
Wee puss was just sunbathing in the sun when I arrived and seemed to have the perfect spot to survey all who arrived.
Not only was the pub on a hill, but the table was a slant as well.
Luckily I did not roll off the seat...
But crucially the beer was not harmed in these pictures!
It was very drinkable.
Not strong at all, only 4.3% but it went down smooth.
Of course the glass was funky with the skulls and bones everywhere!
Perfect mild pint for a summer's afternoon!
A very drinkable pint, indeed very sessionable as you could have a session of them without being the worse for wear!
Beavertown Brewery ~ From Rock 'n' Roll Roots to Craft Beer Powerhouse
Beavertown Brewery was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, son of legendary Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant.
Hence the Rock 'n' Roll roots, and they are now known for their visually striking and psychedelic branding featuring skulls, spaceships, and vibrant colours which you can see from my glass and the tap.
The brewery's name is an old nickname for the De Beauvoir Town area of London where its first beers were brewed.
Over to Gemini for an account of the deets for Neck Oil the Sessionable IPA Star
The name "Neck Oil" itself is a colloquial term for a refreshing pint, inspired by founder Logan Plant's grandfather.

Now it is time for me to nip to the shop for some bread for tomorrow's sandwiches for a picnic!
Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....
Cheers to local beers and Happy Easter everyone
It's a whole bunch of fun, so check out The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 410 from the one and only @detlev.

Sounds like they needed to level out that table so it doesn't roll away. lol
The cat looked very happy, and obviously liked the company. The did have a really cool glass at the pub, just a shame the beer was a little on the weak side. Maybe they could have added in a shot of something much stronger to give it a kick! Kind of like a boilermaker by just dumping the shot in the beer. Glad to see you got a nice afternoon out to enjoy, it looks so nice and sunny. Winter is finally a distant memory!

It is still dropping down cold at night, but yes winter is finally gone and Spring has been surprisingly warm for long spells.
The beer was very drinkable, hehe didn't need a kick or I might have been rolling down that hill.
Am tempted to have a Led Zep ttt seeing it was started by the son of front man Robert Plant!
Cheers and here is to a wonderful weekend!

Awesome thank you
Hey @tengolotodo you are welcome.
Thanks for using @worldmappin π
I love a beavertown beer, their marketing and logos are awesome. In fact I might have nicked that very glass ππ
Absolutely brilliant glass and I wonder how many do go missing π€£
I love their marketing but I never knew it was started by Robert Plant's son Logan.
I didn't know that either. A nice wee snippet of rock history!

Heh, so it is a #BeerCaturday post :)) Two birds with one stone, and one proper IPA :)
Oh very clever ;)
At least I got a proper IPA in there :)
A very fine looking beer and rest time for you and the puss. Nothing beats a good beer on a sunny day.
Very smooth beer and perfect for that sun. The puss was cute and I think it shall have it's own post next week :)
I look forward to it
All sunshine and feline friend are both a good addition for the golden sip. Superb moment as it is..π
Yes they all made for a perfect time :)
Hehehe, maybe a can of drink today for the celebration of mother's dayππ. That cute cat accompanies you while drinking. He deserves a treatππ
Oh yes it is your day today, Happy Mother's Day maganda. I think the cat was trying to take a drink for you πΊπ€£
Why not treat me?πππ

Love the idea of a Pub cat - I've seen plenty of Pub Dogs in my life, but never a cat. Also Beavertown Neck Oil, one of the great IPAs.
Yes I have seen many pub dogs too, but I think this was the first pub cat, certainly the first that I can remember. You are right about Beavertown Neck Oil, it's a great IPA with a great story.
It's always nice to go to a new pub. And if they have good beer, then it's a great party! Enjoy!
Hehe and we all like a great party! Thanks Seck :)
We always love parties! Didn't we? π»

You beat me to it: I was going to buy you a beer today!!! That place looks very nice, ideal for an evening chat and a drink with friends. At least you had excellent company: The cat. I noticed that there must be a gang of cats waiting for you to share your walks. A refreshing and frothy hug, Ed!
Do you know, when I am on my own, it is cats that seem to want to play with me. When I am with people then it is dogs that want to play!
I remember what you said about cats in Venezuela π€£
It is nice place, the only drawback if you are walking it is an area full of hills!
Sending you a chilled but warm hilly hug :)
