It's Saturday, which means it's #beersaturday, not that you need an excuse to drink a beer of course! Today though is a tropical beer for a bright new day!.
it is not any old Saturday it is the last Saturday in January! This was pointed out to me in the invitation I received on @nancybriti1's #beersaturday post inviting me to join in, well who am I to deny the wishes of a lady!
In it she shares a POLAR beer, which is more appropriately named for the cold weather here! So I shall share a Tropical beer that is more appropriately named for that warm part of the world where she is!

Ignore the branding on the glass! It was not a Malt Stout or even a Gillespies, I just fancied the glass, although the beer was made in Scotland!
While it is an Aldi own-brand product, the Anti-Establishment line has historically been brewed for the supermarket Aldi by Williams Bros. Brewing Co. who a well-regarded independent Scottish brewery based in Alloa. Alloa if you are interested is a wee town with a history of brewing. They also have a football team who play in black and gold hoops and yes are called The Wasps!
This specific Double IPA (DIPA) variant is designed to offer a higher-strength, more intense fruit profile than their standard session IPA. And it does, I can testify to that!

So that is the line of beers, and this particular one is Tropical Double IPA.
Well I am writing this post on Hive and sipping a beer, that is what is brewing with me.. It is rude not to answer, what do you think?

It pours with a nice wee froth foam, not too much, but it does stay as you drink!

The cans are pretty cool.
I do like blue and I do like yellow!

Whilst I got the beer at Aldi I saw these venison and pork cutlets which actually were surprisingly tasty. I do love venison and of course I am a fan of pork products, but was not sure about them mixed, but it worked.

Can you see it hiding in the corner..

The Basics
The Style: Tropical Double IPA (Hazy/NEIPA style)
The ABV: At 7.2%, it is significantly stronger than your average pint. In the craft beer world, anything over 7% usually moves into the "Double" or "Imperial" category.
The ALDI Connection: Availabile xclusively at Aldi stores
These are courtesy of my interactions with my google pro gemini account..
It's styled as a New England / Hazy Double IPA, focusing on a soft mouthfeel and low bitterness compared to traditional West Coast IPAs.
Appearance: It pours a deep, hazy golden-orange with a thick, frothy white head.
Aroma: Very punchy and "juice-forward." You’ll pick up strong scents of ripe mango, passion fruit, and papaya, with a slight floral or "dank" undertone.
Flavour: The taste follows the nose with a heavy hit of tropical fruits—specifically pineapple and stone fruits like peach. There is a noticeable sweetness from the malt to balance the high alcohol content.
Mouthfeel: It has a "pillowy," creamy texture, which is a hallmark of the Hazy DIPA style.
Finish: Surprisingly smooth for its strength, with a soft, lingering fruity sweetness and just a hint of citrus lime on the end.

Fluffing smooth and I enjoyed it, but it is dangerous! It is punchy and that fruit hits you as soon as you open the can and pour the beer!
And as it has a 7.2% ABV once you finish that first can you do realise you have had a drink, but you want another one and another hehe!
The second can was with the Chinese food and to be honest it went equally well or without food.
The 7.2% was a pleasant strength, and at £2.19 a can, it was very good value!
Nine quid for 4 strong pints is a heck of a value and if I have spelt things wrong then haha you know the fluff why!

Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....

Cheers! 🍻 I would really like to try that. Here, Hofer (which is Aldi in yours) also has a local brewery... maybe they could exchange local products... !INDEED
Are they good value? Here there are, it is hard not to be impressed with them!
I think they are.
Sounds like a fantastic beer and a fabulous meal.
