Un crumble de frutos rojos para llevar(me) a otro lugar🏙️

Un plan de tarde que disfruto es visitar una nueva cafetería y probar alguna bebida o comida que llame mi atención. Si voy sola, suelo llevarme un libro o algo de trabajo para adelantar. Si estoy con mi familia utilizamos ese momento para conversar y ponernos al día, mientras compartimos un postrecito. Últimamente está siendo complicado que coincidamos con los tiempos así que decidí entrar a un café/pastelería,
pedir un dulce para llevar y así comerlo junto a mis padres en el negocio.

Desde afuera la cafetería Ponka llamó mi atención, esta está ubicada en plena carrera Séptima, un lugar muy transcurrido de la ciudad de Bogotá. Cuando entré fue inevitable reparar en los detalles, delicados y femeninos. Una tetera con diseño floral, muñecas, detalles vintage, bouquet de flores, incluso los postres que se veían desde la vitrina estaban delicadamente decorados.

Opté por llevarme para probar el Crumble de Frutos Rojos, pues me hizo recordar un puestito de pastelería francesa al pie del Mercadito de Los Palos Grandes, en Caracas. Un lugar que me presentó una amiga muy especial, hace como 7 años atrás. Sin embargo, me quedó pendiente probar la torta Red Velvet, pues también se veía deliciosa.

Más tarde, cuando probamos el postre en familia, disfruté de la combinación de texturas, lo crujiente de la masa y la suavidad del relleno. El sabor, sin embargo, no se comparaba con el que pobré hace un par de años atrás. Creo que la memoria acentúa el gusto, haciendo que uno no recuerde el sabor en sí, sino, la emoción relacionada a un determinado momento.

Volveré a la pastelería Ponka a probar sus cafés y a sentarme un rato allí. Estoy segura de que la experiencia será muy parecida a la de la hora del té en una Casa de Muñecas.

An afternoon plan I enjoy is to visit a new coffee shop and try some drink or food that catches my attention. If I go alone, I usually take a book or some work to get ahead. If I'm with my family we use that time to chat and catch up, while sharing a little dessert. Lately it's been difficult to match the times so I decided to go into a cafe/pastry shop,
order a sweet to go and eat it with my parents in the store.

From outside the Ponka coffee shop caught my attention, it is located in the middle of Carrera Séptima, a very busy place in the city of Bogota. When I entered it was inevitable to notice the details, delicate and feminine. A teapot with floral design, dolls, vintage details, flower bouquets, even the desserts that could be seen from the window were delicately decorated.

I opted to take myself to try the Crumble de Frutos Rojos, as it reminded me of a little French pastry shop at the foot of the Mercadito de Los Palos Grandes, in Caracas. A place that a very special friend of mine introduced me to, about 7 years ago. However, I had yet to try the Red Velvet cake, as it also looked delicious.

Later, when we tried the dessert as a family, I enjoyed the combination of textures, the crunchiness of the dough and the softness of the filling. The taste, however, did not compare to what I had tasted a couple of years ago. I think the memory accentuates the taste, making one not remember the flavor itself, but the emotion related to a certain moment.

I will go back to the Ponka pastry shop to try their coffees and sit there for a while. I'm sure the experience will be much like tea time in a Doll's House.
