So, I am giving your Hive Memories tool, v2, a run for its money -- in ten minutes it has processed 20 of my 4,589 posts. I'm not going to let it keep running, of course -- who has eight hours to spare without knowing one had to do that? -- but I am impressed that it was able to tabulate that and give me that shocking final number!

Those first ones are for sure the trickiest. And we havent indexed the posts from the steem era yet, so this tool is "asking the nodes", which as you may know - can sometimes be challenging!
Indeed ... the only thing more temperamental than a heavily worked node with a high-volume request is a human being!
