It is interesting to see the foundational work for Silent Payments moving forward in Bitcoin Core. Do you think we will see this integrated into the main wallet interface anytime soon?
I think we'll eventually see Silent Payments integrated into Bitcoin Core's main wallet interface, but I wouldn't expect it overnight.
The development is progressing, although there is still no confirmed release timeline. One of the challenges is the additional blockchain scanning required to detect incoming Silent Payments.
The good news is that we don't have to wait for Bitcoin Core to start using them. Sparrow Wallet, which I also use on my desktop, already supports both sending and receiving Silent Payments since version 2.5.0.
I believe Silent Payments could become an important privacy improvement for Bitcoin, especially as more wallets adopt BIP-352. It's definitely a development worth watching!
