My BusyBees & SlothlySavers Weekly Update - 2026 Week 43

The #SaturdaySavers programme run with huge dedication and commitment by @shanibeer came to an end with the close of 2025.

But there are a couple of initiatives to keep the motivation going !

I've decided to post them in the BusyBees Community. This is a community set up to support @zakludick's tireless work in encouraging and teaching newer Hive users. Additionally, I'm adding the #SlothlySavers tag and linking my updates in their weekly update post, because that's another place where former #SaturdaySavers are gravitating to.

How Did The Week Go ?

For me, it was a kind of normal week. I've been gradually getting my posting rate up, and keeping up with curation and engagement. Earnings are creeping up again, at 127HIVE for the week prior.

Additionally, I earned 2.78 in HBD interest. It's massively down on what I was earning when my HBD stash was at it's peak and interest was at 20%, but it's still nothing to be sneezed at. For now I'm ignoring the HBD price, it's volatile on external exchanges but not on Hive itself.

In the wider world, pretty much every class of asset has dipped in price, whether crypto, commodities or stocks. Government bonds are up a bit, reflecting the increased risk of default as governments frantically borrow money to pay for wars and social programmes to stave off unrest due to increased fuel costs. HIVE has been carried along with the general drop but is weathering it reasonably well and the debt ratio is still looking sensible.

So that's it for this week. Have a good week everyone, and don't forget - this time next week will be both HPUD and Halloween !
