FORGIVE & FORGET...What Does The Bible Say?..#Topic Reviews

just yesterday at the office, we were trying to settle two of our colleagues who had beefed each other for almost a week, not talking to each other and so we tried talking to them about it and cutting off that malice attitude off, cause our department we work as a team a family so if there was anything wrong then we should resolve it within ourselves before the management hears of it, so after several talks we finally came to a resolution and the case was settle, all tho i has tried talking to them separately on personal terms for them to settle but it keeps lingering, some issues that is hard to forgive and forget...

As a very crucial part of the lords prayer which says Forgive our trespasses as we forgive others who trespass against us, that means we will be forgiven as we also forgave others who wronged us in some ways, one time in the scripture

In mathew 18:21-35 tells the story of an unforgiving servant who owed his lord huge sum of money but could not pay, tho his master commanded he be out in prison till he paid, he pleaded for mercy that he will pay, tge master for gave him amd set him free, while on the way this same servant another of his fellow servant who owed him money, he caught the servant and threw him into prison untill he paid him in full, all tho the servant pleaded he would not listen nor forgive him the debt, so when his master heard of it he was furious and also had him threw into prison for being such an unforgiven servant

Jesus had to bring this parable to us for us to understand how God frowns when we don't forgive when someone hurts you us so badly, remember peter in that scripture asked Jesus how many times we ought to forgive one another, so jesus had to answer him with that parable,

Jesus here replied peter that we ought to forgive ourselves 70×7 a day, thats like a total of 490 times, know one can ever get offended that much in a single single day.

Bro Eli in his opening statement said, hows it that its only those hurtful things people had done to you, those that had wronged you, those are the ones you can't seem to forget easily, thats because our hearts naturally been programmed that way to keep memories and tracks of event especially of things that left a scare in us, however in todays teachings and according to the bible and in Jesus's parable we ought to forgive one another as our heavenly father forgives us on daily basis.
