Staying Healthy Biblically Part 1 |MCGI Topic Review
From this video of Bro Eli, I understand that God really cares about our health, whether it be our mental health or bodily health.
Because according to His word in 3rd John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.”
It is possible to live a sickness free life till old age as we saw with Moses whose eyes were not dim and natural force unabated.
It was so surprising to discover that Moses did not die a natural death. It was such a discovery.
I got to understand that spiritual strength and physical wellness go hand in hand.
It’s particularly important that we understand that our bodies is the temple of God and so for us to live healthily, we should avoid harmful habits. By doing that we live less complicated lives and as well Honour God.
We have to care for our mental and emotional health too. When we engage in stressful ventures, our mental health deplete. Negativity too brings bad energy and that affects our emotional health.
According to Bro Eli, cheerful heart is good medicine.”
We should also not neglect the fact in as much as the body needs food, the spirit needs Gods word as that is how it stays healthy. We read the word of God, pray and stay connected to God.
The most important key note for me is that Balance is Key. Bro Eli made it known that Rest, self-care and wise choices including observing rest as the scripture proposed is the balance that we need for a healthy life.
We should also try to have peace at heart. This peace is having forgiveness for one another and a clear mind.
