Una colección clásica y deportiva // A classic and sporty collection

Hola querido hiver.

La colección que presento hoy en la comunidad no me pertenece, ¡ya me gustaría! Pero no... Tuve que conformarme con verla y ni siquiera tocarla porque nos separaba un cristal. De antemano te pido disculpas por los reflejos que impidieron unas imágenes de mejor calidad.

Era una tarde de sábado en la que teníamos que hacer algunas compras. Fuimos a La Torre Outlet, un centro comercial construido en los terrenos que ocupaba una antigua y conocida fábrica de colchones de la ciudad. Pero eso es para otra publicación. El asunto es que ya volvíamos hacia nuestro coche cuando mirando el local que quedaba a nuestra derecha me quedé sorprendida de ver esta curiosa colección.

La exposición corre a cargo de la Asociación Aragonesa de Clásicos Deportivos y por lo que he visto al documentarme para escribir esta publicación los vehículos que se exponen van cambiando cada cierto tiempo.

Recorremos la muestra de izquierda a derecha. En el rincón hay un Mini que no pude fotografiar y que, de hecho, ni siquiera se habían molestado en adornar un poco. A su lado descansa un vehículo curioso y del que he visto escasos ejemplares circulando: el Citröen Mehari.

A continuación estaba la joya de la corona de esta exposición: un espectacular descapotable con pinta de ser de muy, muy antiguo. He tratado de encontrar de qué marca y modelo es, sin éxito. Si lo conoces, te agradeceré que me lo digas en los comentarios.

El Renault 5 es un automóvil mítico, aquí en versión preparada para hacer carreras. La de personas que cabían ahí dentro y viajaban sin aire acondicionado ni elevalunas eléctricos. Ah, y sus correspondientes maletas. Eran coches duros que resistían mal el calor, debiendo parar de vez en cuando para refrescarse. Sobre todo en el caluroso verano español.

Siguiendo con los coches deportivos de competición, Este Alfa Romeo ha ganado algún que otro rally. Ojo al casco de color azul, que parece más antiguo que el propio vehículo. Comparado con la versión moderna la evolución en términos de seguridad es evidente.

El siguiente es un Lancia, de factura similar al anterior y que también posa orgulloso de sus trofeos de carreras de competición.

En el último rincón descansa mi preferido de todos los de la muestra, el Citröen 2CV. Le tengo mucho cariño a ese modelo porque mi abuelo materno tenía uno en color azul. Era más antiguo que este, pues las puertas se abrían al revés, con la manilla en extremo delantero de la puerta. El pobre daba unos botes por los caminos que te hacían tocar el techo con la cabeza, aunque lo compensaba la comodidad de sus blandos asientos.

Comentando sobre esta publicación con mi marido, me dice que en el barrio hay un Seat 600 que lleva una maleta de cartón sobre el techo, como si llegase del pasado a la actualidad. Estaré atenta para cazarlo en fotografías y mostrártelo en el blog.

Hi, dear hiver.

The collection that I present today in the community does not belong to me, I wish it did! But it doesn't... I had to be content with looking at it and not even touching it because we were separated by a glass pane. I apologise in advance for the reflections that prevented better quality images.

It was a Saturday afternoon when we had some shopping to do. We went to La Torre Outlet, a shopping centre built on the site of an old and well-known mattress factory in the city. But that's for another post. We were on our way back to our car when, looking at the shop to our right, I was surprised to see this curious collection.

The exhibition is in charge of the Asociación Aragonesa de Clásicos Deportivos (Aragonese Association of Sporting Classics) and from what I have seen when I was documenting myself to write this publication, the vehicles that are exhibited change from time to time.

We go through the exhibition from left to right. In the corner is a Mini that I couldn't photograph and which, in fact, they hadn't even bothered to decorate a little. Next to it rests a curious vehicle of which I have seen very few in circulation: the Citröen Mehari.

Next was the jewel in the crown of this exhibition: a spectacular convertible that looked very, very old. I have tried to find out what make and model it is, without success. If you know it, I'd be grateful if you could tell me in the comments.

The Renault 5 is a legendary car, here in a race-ready version. There were so many people that could fit in there and they travelled without air conditioning or electric windows. Oh, and suitcases to go with them. They were tough cars that didn't cope well with the heat, having to stop from time to time to cool off. Especially in the hot Spanish summer.

Continuing with sports racing cars, this Alfa Romeo has won a few rallies. The blue helmet looks older than the car itself. Compared to the modern version, the evolution in terms of safety is obvious.

The next one is a Lancia, similar in build to the previous one and also proudly posing with its competition racing trophies.

In the last corner rests my favourite of all the cars on show, the Citröen 2CV. I am very fond of this model because my maternal grandfather had one in blue. It was older than this one, as the doors opened backwards, with the handle at the front end of the door. The poor thing bounced around on the roads so much that it made you touch the roof with your head, although the comfort of the soft seats made up for it.

Commenting on this publication with my husband, he tells me that in the neighbourhood there is a Seat 600 with a cardboard suitcase on the roof, as if it had come from the past to the present day. I'll be on the lookout to hunt it down in photographs and show it to you on the blog.

I prefer to collect stones because this is a very expensive vice. After buying them you have to keep them in good condition, and that is a faucet that never closes.

The Renault 5 and the Citröen 2CV were economic cars when they came out, that's why they were very popular. Now they are worth much more if they are well preserved.

Just on the contrary is the convertible that I don't know the brand, which must have been very expensive. 🫰😁

After 15-20 minutes of research, I have finally found (I think... lol...) what is that beautiful old car that you didn't know... It could be Morgan Roadster from 1970, or similar... Beautiful car!

I think that our Spanish friend mentioned Citröen Mehari as her favorite car and that she would like to drive it! That's a nice small car for going to the beach or picnic... :)
