Good afternoon buzzers, I've had a lovely afternoon reading some excellent Hive content. It feels like there is some level of excitement in Hive again. Or am I looking into the negativity being portrayed and hoping for a positive outcome? Who knows? What I do know is I'm still chasing that Hive buzz!
Sloth and steady wins the race, right? I'm slowly making my way towards my 10K Hive Power goal for this year, which was spurred on by my ambition to reach the 'top' HP holders. Initially my target was the top 2000, smashing that last year, this year I aimed for the top 1500. I'm almost there, although these last few positions are getting tough! The leaps between users are getting more significant. However, I should achieve the top 1500 in my next few months! Super exciting! Then I can target the top 1000! I keep tabs on this courtesy of Hivebuzz.me, a fantastic little stats tool.
Currently, I'm ranked 1546 with a little over 8500 HP. The aim to get to rank 1500 means I've only 280 HP to go. I almost have that much Hive sitting in my wallet, maybe I'll hit my goal on the next power up day if i remember! However, if I were to hit 10K today, I would be firmly in the top 1500; in fact, I'd be ranked around 1378 for all Hive holders of HP! Pretty cool if you ask me! Then I'd be chasing the top 1000 HP holders and aiming for 14350 HP! A small step for HP, a giant leap for Sloths!
How could I magically reach 10K today? Well, my KEPI token rewards would already allow me to surpass this. The Kepi token seems to keep rising; the last day has been the most 'stable' it has been in the couple of months since launch. Sitting comfortably around the $0.00469 price mark, I would need about 63K Kepi to make the 300 USD to buy the required 1250 Hive that I'd need to hit that 10K HP mark!
Should I sell a wedge of my KEPI today, get the HP and hit my goal? Or keep things sloth and steady, maybe convert a little KEPI at the current price to power that up? Is it even worth selling KEPI at all? Right now, I have to think that KEPI will outperform Hive in the grand scheme of things. Maybe I should wait and sell a couple of hundred KEPI for thousands of Hive in the future?
Who'd have thought a 'free to play' game would give so much potential! I'm still considering how I can further utilise the KEPI ecosystem to enhance my Hive experience, possibly by using a contest/Zealy/mentor program. Allow everyone on Hive to participate and earn their own KEPI tokens, could I buy them back from users, maybe open some form of Swap.KEPI token, or allow you to do as you please with the KEPI and earn from the content creation side of running such events?
Could the KEPI token fuel Hive to the next level! Imagine if more Hivians use the KEPI apps. The team there can continue to buy back and 'power up' their token, which in turn allows Hivians to earn more rewards that can then be converted into Hive and fuel the Hive ecosystem. All KEPI needs is more users, and they'd be able to outcompete pretty much any other crypto project right now. They have an intriguing ecosystem that allows continued growth!
180% in the last couple of months, 60% in the previous week! Of course, that can't continue forever; eventually, it will come to a 'peak'. However, if more players are in the ecosystem (playing for FREE), this number can continue to rise for some time!
I'm sure it would be a good way to encourage more content into the slothbuzz community, mainly because I'd FORCE you all to post there! Or, at least strongly suggest it! I mean, why aren't you using #slothbuzz already! It's more alive than some of the communities on Hive, although more dead than many, too! Sloth and steady isn't everyone's cup of tea, even when we pretend we're buzzing!
Some more thinking to do and maybe some plans to lay! Power up today and hit a goal, take it sloth and steady and aim for the moon or create more engaging content and ride the wave of buzz!?!?
Until next time,
Sloth out!
Because I am super lazy, how much $USD does it take to be in the top 1000 of HIVE holders?
Asking for a friend.. lol :D
I had a goal of getting back up to 5k by the end of the year, I think I am going to need to revise my goal to a higher number. If I keep my current momentum... from just writing and commenting, I think I might be able to manage 5.5 or perhaps 6
