Towers in the Water ~ round 233 of reflection hunters

Hello Hello Hivians

Are you a serial snapper!

With the cameras we have on our phones now, it is hard not to snap a gazillion pictures even when I don't actually take my proper camera on a walk, I still end with so many pictures that most just sit in my photos patiently waiting again for the light of day.

Well now as we approach autumn I get more time to look at things!

image.png

This set of pictures were all taken at Seafield beach in Kirkcaly, Scotland and they show reflections in the sea of three high rise towers.

image.png

They are actually blocks of flats.

image.png

But they do make for some nice reflections photography, what do you think?

image.png

I am sure that some people might argue that they look even better in the water!

image.png

That was part of a walk on July 11th 2025 and we walked all the way along Seafield beach in the glorious sunshine, it is hard to think that was five weeks already!

image.png

But now, decisions, decisions, decisions!

Yes it's that time for me to choose my entry picture!

So here ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ is my entry for Reflection Hunters Contest - Round 233

image.png

This was a trickier choice.

I tried to give a shot where there was a picture frame effect with the rocks at the bottom, and still have your eyes drawn to the towers in the water!

I never know which picture to choose as the entry, and I do try to make a story with my posts rather than just a post and a run kind of thing!!

What do you think? Did I pick the suitable one, or would you have chosen another one?

This is my contribution to Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 233 from @olgavita and the simply superb Shadow Hunters community.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

I don't know who said that as it is above, so it is below. Well, here it fits like a glove. Narcissus had already taught us that water can serve as a mirror. A specular hug, Ed.

Those towers sure look a lot taller in the reflections! lol

Great job in finding such nice reflections on the water like that. How's the weather treating you this August?

I like the reflections but the buildings themselves are too blocky and also cover the view of what seems to be historic houses on the hill behind.

Your post caught my attention because you mentioned 'super snappers', have you hear of "Hive Snaps"? it allows you to post snaps directly from your phone like having an Instagram or Twitter but only for Snaps.

I have not seen tower blocks that aren't blocky .... This is social housing for the masses. They get built wherever they do.

Ah yes I do some testing on that app some time ago. I just downloaded on my phone, I think I had on my tablet before, and posted a test picture.

The log in screen is not so good in my eyes anyway ....
At the username box it says ... "username do not use" ...

hmmm! thank you! I'll pass that to the devs!

The app is about 2 weeks away from being officially launched, so we definitely plan to tighten all the UI/UX.
