Pittenweem Harbour Fishing Boats reflections hunters 240

Hello Hello Hivians

It's Thursday and it has been a day of reflections for me, which is very appropriate as today I am posting some fun pictures that are all about ... yes you guessed it ... Reflections.

Today we are in a wee Scottish fishing village.

image.png

Well it is not really a fishing village anymore.

image.png

When I was a boy it really was a fishing village. This harbour was filled with fishing boats.

image.png

Now there are just a few, and they really aren't fishing boats like trawlers for fish, they are all about shellfish, mainly crabs and lobsters.

Changed days and of course so many of the houses are now AirBnBs and second homes. So sad to see.

But now, decisions, decisions, decisions!

Yes it's that time for me to choose my entry picture!

So here πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ is my entry for Reflection Hunters Contest - Round 240

Pittenweem Harbour Fishing Boats

This was a tricky choice. We do have some fishing boats moored in Pittenweem Harbour. Pittenweem is one of the fishing villages in Fife and is situated between St Monans and Anstruther.

I am going with this shot as it has a bit of everything. We see some boats with reflections in the water as well as the old warehouse building reflection!

I used to go deep sea fishing from here with my father and remember climbing up and down the vertical ladders. Fun times!

I never know which picture to choose as the entry, and I do try to make a story with my posts rather than just a post and a run kind of thing!!

What do you think? Did I pick the suitable one, or would you have chosen another one?

Im ashamed to say I've never explored up that little stretch of coast, obviously to my cost as it looks gorgeous and exactly the type of area that I love. Its fate as meesterboom mentioned on a comment this week that hes going on holiday to Crail, just up the road and I'd never even heard of it! Obviously, I've spent too much time glory hunting up the West Coast. This will have to be remedied shortly.
Great photos, mate and best wishes to you and your loved ones.

That's a nice little harbor. Feels a bit like the ones we have here on the great lakes.

That's a nice reflection, but too bad they're no longer fishing, you could have gotten some for me πŸ₯²πŸ˜
