Transactional love is now everywhere. Before, people were loved for who they are. Now, people are loved for what they have and what they can provide. That is the truth we see today.
If you check many relationships and marriages now, it is not about character or genuine connection again. It is about "what can you give me?" The man is asking what the woman can offer in bed or at home, the woman is asking how much the man can pay, what car he drives, what alert he can send. It is now business, not love.

Of course, I will not lie, there is sense in wanting a partner who can support. Nobody wants to marry someone who is lazy and cannot contribute. A man or woman should have something doing. Support in relationship is normal. But when it becomes absolute dependence and entitlement, that is where problem starts. When love is only based on money, gifts, and what you can provide, then it is not love, it is transaction.
That is why many marriages crash today. The man knows the woman is there for his money, the woman knows the man is there for selfish interest. So both just use each other and play with emotions. No trust, no genuine feeling.
But is that how love should be?....No!!.
How can we bring back genuine love?.....:👇
First, we need to change mindset....Love should be about person, not possession......We should ask "who is this person?" not "what does this person have?" Character, kindness, respect, those things last more than money.
Second, both partners must be independent to some level. If a woman has her own small hustle and a man has his own, nobody will feel entitled....You will love because you want to, not because you need money to survive.
Third, we should stop social media pressure. Many transactional relationships come from pressure to pepper others, to show off. People enter relationships they cannot manage just to belong.
Finally, parents and community should teach values again....Teach young ones that love is sacrifice, patience, and friendship, not just billing and packaging.
