We are all seeing pretty crazy price raises in Portugal... and fuel is one of the most affected by the momentane turmoil... Our recent diesel price was during this week about 2.25€ per liter...
$5 per gallon ≈ €1.15 per liter, which is about 49% cheaper than €2.25 per liter.
But all the world is struggling with the inflation, and constant price climbing in groceries, house mortgage and energy prices...
Let's hope for calmer and better days.

Diesel fuel is about $7 per gallon here which is still probably less than over there. The problem is, the whole healthcare thing is systemic and bigger than just inflation. It's intentional gouging with zero punishment because the politicians are raking in the dough from it too.
