I bet if they let you take a metal detector out in the area of the battle you could find all sorts of good stuff! But most of the time you aren't allowed to detect on historic sites without special permission. It really sucks! lol

It seems you were right. I just did a quick Google search. I didn't know that about the area. Now I am kind of sad I didn't explore a bit more. Turns out we were really close. I just need to go off the path a bit and towards the river. There is a parking lot there now I think.
