The Risk and Reward of Trusting Others.
One of the main challenges I feel everyone as a human fights every day is the ability to trust one another. This is not just a thing that one will just wake up one day and just think about, but because it is something that is really happening every day, and yet some have not been able to learn from it. I have seen different cases where you trust people and then you get shattered because you have entrusted everything and every trust you have in them. But looking at it from another angle, can we say we are doing a bad thing to trust people around us?
If you ask me, what would my answer be? Well, I leave you to answer that based on your thoughts. One thing we sometimes don't know about trust and trusting someone is that trust is earned, and that is because if you have done something for people that warrants them trusting you, surely you will earn their trust because once you have done something for people, your loyalty level will surely increase in that aspect, and when it increases, you are buying yourself that special space in the heart of people indirectly.
What does it mean to trust?
According to Marriam-Webster Dictionary Trust is the assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something. I made use of this definition because I believe this is quite explanatory enough. Trust is the reliance on the character we portray as a human and our ability and strength, which can only be done by ourselves alone. These characteristics are what make people trust, and then we get trusted also. I could remember that I had an encounter with someone recently, which is why I decided to share this article today, and I will just share a brief story.
I had some issues about something I was actually processing for a long time. And one thing about us humans is that we tend to be very vulnerable at times when we are having issues because we want to get a solution to them on time. Well, I reached out to some of my friends for help, but not all of them could assist me except one person who referred someone to me. But when the person referred this person to me, I was being very careful because the person they are referring to and the person that referred someone are people that I don't have a close relationship with. Perhaps I don't know where they stay to locate them in case of any issues.
But one thing that is certain is that sometimes our good earth speaks for us in cases like this. I started a conversation with the person, and I was told to send some huge amount of money. I was actually scared, but I had to summon my courage, and I thought within myself that it was going to work out well. Lo and behold, after the payment and every processing, I didn't see the results, and that was where I was beginning to get scared, but I was having an assurance that it would work. One day I was not even expecting any message, and I saw a message from the guy that the work has been done then i had a relief. Then i knew that having a good heart and trusting people is on another level and its not until you know the person you are dealing with before you can trust. Everything is a process and we have to go through it well.
