Now there are only 129. Just over 7% of what there were about 25 years ago. I'm honestly surprised any are left, but I wish them the best.

That is interesting. It's definitely sad to see them collapse like that. I think a lot of it had to do with people realizing it wasn't any more healthy. Remember that Seinfeld episode? I think a lot of other brands jumped on the scene too and stole some of the monopoly they had on the market.
I was alive when Seinfeld was on, and we had a TV, but I do not remember watching it. We watched little aside from the evening weather reports, and eventually video tapes. Nowadays, I suppose I could stream it, but it seems lower on the priority list than even scrolling Facebook slop. Maybe I should reprioritize?
