As a kid I didn't like to play board games. When we did, it was indeed mostly Monopoly or Risk, which always ended up in a fight :).
Currently I do enjoy the smaller games, which are quicker than the long board games, and mostly play them with my wife. A bottle of wine and some quality with the 2 of us.

My wife and I have been doing more card games lately, board games tend to be a bit more of a commitment!
