RE: South Congress and our first taste of Texas BBQ

I had totally forgotten about TCBY! They were absolutely everywhere in the 80s and 90s. Your posts are showing me how much I missed while I was there in Austin last year. I mainly just explored downtown after the shareholder meeting was over. The restaurant owner seems like he was a real character. I love small local businesses like that. My wife/son don't seem to have much interest in visiting Austin but I think I have my friend Juan convinced to meet there in 2028.

Check out the east part of town. It's growing and getting a bit gentrified, but it still has a lot of historic charm.

So much of the city seems gentrified. I can't wait to make it back there!
