July/August would not be pleasant. I read the feels like hovers around 110 during the day in August. The food I had in Austin was incredible. They even have good BBQ at the airport. As good as the BBQ is, the Mexican food was even better. You'll have a whole lot of fun no matter when you go.

That's exactly what I want to hear about the food! We ended up getting an Air BnB, so we will see how it goes.
