The other side of the coin is I get some comments by the same people but they feel fake... I give them the benfit of the doubt that there may be a language barrier but it seems like there may be some comment farming going on too. I like to upvote comments on my post as a small thank you which can be taken advantage of.

I think you are right. Sometimes it's just translation issues, but others it's just lack of effort and greed.
