On the Hive blockchain we can all create our own story

What is amazing about the Hive blockchain is that you can create your own story through the content you create, share, comment about and the interactions with the other users and communities. Everyone starts with a clean sheet and it is up to each of us to decide which path to take. Sometimes it us tempting to take shortcuts, but doing so we'll soon find out that it is not to way to grow in this ecosystem and probably we'll encounter some ethical barriers along the way and some voices will tell that's not the way to do it and that it is not fair to continue like this compared with the other participants to this ecosystem. It happened to me also few times, but I understood each stance on that and corrected my way of doing some things.

There isn't any hard book on how to interact or act in different situations and while experimenting we might cross the line one way or another. And if constructive feedback comes our way, we should be open to see other's points if view and find a solution for it. I always like to be also part of the solution and not only the problem and this mindset helped me navigate conflicts or divergent opinions. But I believe there is common ground everywhere, we just need to be willing and make the effort to find it and understand it. Sometimes we cannot but wonder if that's worth it, but in the end doing something is better that not doing it. Usually the energy you put in, should return back one way or the other.

Many of us, myself included, see the Hive blockchain as a revenue stream maybe even more than the reason it was build for: social media freedom through a decentralization and ownership of your data. By focusing on the earning angle it us easy to lose ourselves and seek shortcuts to get faster at the top. And this leads to mistakes, lower quality of content and shady actions. And time proved that doing that simply doesn't work and users and communities react sooner or later. And what has been yielded on a fast track usually stops together with a tainted reputation. And from there on, it is very hard to grow back and still get support from others.

The story that takes shape through our content, engagement and actions on the Hive blockchain, is representing us, us representing what we like, our passions, our frustrations, our goals and whatever we want to get out there in the open. And believe me that it is out there in the open, transparent and maybe even living in perpetuity. There is some kind of anonymity to it, but regardless if there is a mask or not put in front, behind it is us in a shape or another. We might have different faces, we might show to others only what we want or just a layer, but it is something that comes from within. So regardless if the story, good or bad, it exposes something from within or about us. It us our story and it us upon us how we want to write it.

Sometimes going to origins and revisiting the purpose of why the Hive blockchain was created and its tumultuous cinematic history, we might rediscover some values and principles lost along the way. But if we take the time to contemplate at that, we will find out that it is upon us how and what story to tell. This empowerment alone gives true ownership, identity and control of the digital destiny in this ecosystem.
