You sound very savvy. Home equity loan to buy bitcoin...wow, that would scare me. Nobody touches my house :)) Without risk, I guess there is no reward...

I wouldn't do that. It could be fun though if I was a bit more of a risk taker.
If I had the money, I'd buy gold. If I get extra money, I may try to buy something for my kids security. Gold is the only thing I have any faith in as a long-term investment. It may rise and fall in value, but over the long run, the curve goes up.
People always want gold.
