RE: Cycling in The Netherlands, changing weather conditions!

(edited)

A lot of gear!
Having visited The Netherlands many times in the 80's and 90's I am sure that the rides are awesome!

And Cycling is not cheap - comparatively speaking, unless you buy $100 bikes at Walmart and throw them away at the end of the year.
It costs $40 for a pair of tires that will go 1000 miles... For my truck, a $100 tire will go 30,000 miles. Those kinds of things.... šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

Well I hope my bike will last a couple of years 😁 but wait... tires wear out that fast!? I'm now at around 750 miles but there's no wear to be seen at all.

Thanks for stopping by!

You are in a nice environment! True at 1,000 there is still tread but pretty low and by that time they are so impregnated with glass and thorns they pop the tube while your inflating them!

Now bikes themselves absolutely "can last", just have to take care of them!
My two I bought new, '07 for the Green one and '10 for the Black one and have seen thousands of miles!
