A cold ride in the morning
Today, I had planned a bicycle ride with some friend in the morning. It has been cold and foggy all week and this morning it wasn't any better, so I dressed up for the occasion.
My Goretex lobster gloves are quite warm and I had put on some layers of clothing. The only things that got really cold after a while were my feet. And that even despite the fact that I had insulated covers over my cycling shoes.
But especially driving along the canal the wind made it very cold. We decided to change the route a bit since the cold and fog also fogged up our cycling glasses.
During the ride we talked a bit about our plans to ride the Marmotte GranFondo in June; an epic ride of 177 kilometer with 5000 meters of elevation. We are about to make the final decision soon, but the outlook is positive.
Because of the cold and the fog we made a smaller round than we usually do. We ended up with nearly 40 kilomters on the meter.

Weekly stats & 2025 goal
I've set myself a goal this year to cycle at least 5000 kilometers. I didn't reach this same goal last year, but I intend to achieve it this year.
This week I commuted three days and made a smaller round today. This has resulted in a total distance of 138.69 kilometers.
I'm nice on schedule since I have reached 5% of my goal and the year is also 5% underway today.

Would I be able to upload my own video here in the cycling community? Maybe on 3speak, though. I have some footage from right before everything froze over. I even fall over in one!

I've used 3speak, but I had quite some problems with uploading, so I created my own channel in Youtube which I use for videos.
Just make it public and copy the link.
I remember recently something was seriously going on with 3S and all hivers were restoring to YT! Hopefully it's fixed now..

Just wanted to ask, How early were you riding it, I don't seem to see a single vehicle in the sight!
We always go early in the morning. We leave at 8:30. You can see it is still dark.
In the second part of the video it was a bit later, but the road along the canal isn't that busy. As you can see it isn't a really urban area there.
And besides that I cut the video so it doesn't show many cars too 😀
